Rakeback Rate at Cake Poker and Intertops to Increase

Poker Rakeback
Monday, 21 May 2012 10:13

Cake PokerCake Poker Rakeback and Intertops Rakeback are set to increase to 36% starting on June 1st.  The increase is due to the acquisition of the Cake PIntertops Pokeroker Network by Lock Poker which will be taking over network operations and renaming the network Revolution Gaming.  The new 36% rakeback rate will be the same for all sites on the Cake Poker Network and will apply to ALL existing and new players.

Faster Cashouts

Those who have been frustrated with the slow cashouts at Cake Poker unfortunately may not see a change despite Lock Poker taking over the network because for the forseeable future Cake Poker will not be using the Lock Poker cashier.  Cashouts at Intertops Poker however are some of the fastest and most reliable in the industry averaging about 5-8 days at most.  Intertops Poker has maintained their own cashier for years, and is not expected to switch to Lock Poker's as there is no need with their fast cashouts.  Overall the cashout situation will improve as Lock Poker brings faster and more reliable cashouts and Intertops Poker maintains their fast cashouts.

Better Promotions: $1 million dollar Battle of the Ronin Rake Race

Lock Poker promises to bring more aggressive and better promotions to the new network including their new Battle of the Ronin Rake Race with $1,000,000 in cash prizes.  All players at poker rooms on the existing Cake Network and new Revolution Gaming network are eligible for the Rake Race.

Answers about Existing Rakeback vs New Rakeback Poker Accounts

What if you already have a rakeback account on the Cake Network, say at Cake Poker or Intertops Poker?  The word from Lock Poker is that they will keep the 90 day rule already in place on the Cake Network.  This means if you already have rakeback at Cake Poker, if your poker account has been dormant for over 90 days, you will be allowed to sign up for Rakeback at another Revolution gaming poker room, that could be Lock Poker, or Inter tops.

What if I already have a Lock Poker account?
If you already have a Lock Poker account and want to switch from the VIP program to Rakeback you will be able to email Lock Poker directly, request rakeback and they will switch you.   However if you already have a rakeback account elsewhere on the network you will be denied due to the 90 day rule.

What if I don't have an account on the Cake Poker network or haven't played for over 90 days?
If you don't have an existing rakeback account on the Cake Poker Network we recommend signing up at Lock Poker or Intertops Poker to take advantage of better promotions and faster and more reliable cashouts.

Rakeback Nation will be emailing our members more detailed information in the next week so you can prepare yourself for the big move by Lock Poker on June 1st, 2012.  If you have any questions or concerns feel free to open a support ticket and we will be happy to help you figure out your best options and help you.
